Mobile social networking app GyPSii today launched a web-based version of its service, GyPSii CONNECT.

CONNECT allows users to sign in to their GyPSii profile online and connect with friends across social networks on Facebook and Twitter.

GyPSii said it plans to integrate more social networks in the near future.

Features include status updates, adding friends, and tagging locations to let your friends see where you live, the cinema you’re visiting that evening, or your favourite restaurant.

Once a location is tagged, other users can add opinions and reviews.

Shane Lennon, GyPSii’s senior vice president of marketing and product management, said: “GyPSii CONNECT gives us time to manage our lives instead of our social networks.

“With more network connections in development, we plan to mobilise access to an open eco-system for consumers.”

GyPSii is compatible with Symbian S60, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, and iPhone handsets.
