How to Mount Wireless Chimes
If you have hundreds to thousands of guests complaining about long knocking, then, we actually share the same problem. This happens a lot to me. I do not know if I am to blame because the reality is, oftentimes, I am in the kitchen cooking or taking a bath. So, I can hardly hear the knocking on the door. I was telling this to my friends and they told me to purchase door chimes so that I will be aware that there are guests waiting outside the door. I was hesitant at first because it might ruin the new wall papers I have for the room. Then, I found out that it is not actually a problem because there are wireless door chimes available on the market.
I have been using wireless door chimes for years now and I really love it. In fact, I have a door chime that works with two bell pushes. I even installed a chime with strobe lights so that my grandparents who can hardly hear will notice that someone is waiting outside the door. I know that you have problems with your door chime. This time, I will be the one who will say never worry. From experience, I will provide you with the right steps on installing your door chime.
Primarily, you need to buy batteries for the bell push. It is very important that you buy alkaline batteries because they last longer and work better. Then, you have to open the back cover of the bell push and also for the receiver that uses battery as well. There are bell pushes and receiver that require bits of unscrewing, so, kindly read the manual of your door equipment for the right unscrewing. Then, install the batteries and make sure that you put them correctly.
Before you mount the bell push and plug the receiver of the wireless door chimes, make sure that you test them first so that you will know that the range is just right. So, put it where you want to mount it and test if it works with such distance. It needs a little pressing of the bell push to assure that it really works. If it does not work efficiently, then, try placing it somewhere and closer to the receiver. You may also check the manual for other guidelines.
If you found the exact location, it is now time to mound the bell push or the battery-operated wireless door chime. It is very easy if you use a plug-in receiver because it will only be the bell push that you have to mount. In mounting the bell push, you will need a screwdriver. But, this kind of mounting will somehow ruin the door. So, you can use double sided tape instead.
Follow all these steps and surely you will have wireless home doorbell that works effectively. For other troubleshooting, it is best that you read the manual so that you will have the knowledge as well. Always remember that you should not repair the door equipment on your own especially if it is under warranty. Bring them to the experts instead.
